Experienced people for a multidisciplinary NGO

Each specialist department includes Lead and Assistant roles. Coordination roles and department Leads require relevant master’s degrees: minimum experience is 15 years for County Coordinators, 10 years for Deputy County Coordinators and 5 years for Leads. Department Assistants require a relevant bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience; a relevant master’s degree is desirable. Full requirements and responsibilities appear in the separate official PDFs.

  • Demonstrated integrity, safeguarding awareness and respect for vulnerable children, young people and families.
  • Practical analytical judgment, clear reasoning and ability to prioritise competing tasks. Selection uses consistent, job-related practical exercises.
  • Confident digital working, accurate records, concise reports and effective English and Kiswahili communication; reasonable assessment adjustments will be considered.
  • Ability to work across programmes, cooperate with other departments and seek specialist guidance when required. Multitasking does not replace professional boundaries.
  • Relevant experience must be supported by verifiable responsibilities, references and examples of delivery. Candidates must not submit confidential former-employer or beneficiary records.

Casual workers, students on attachment and volunteers may supplement these teams through separate arrangements. They do not replace the advertised professional positions.

Application and employment information

Recruitment covers all 47 counties. Norisha Umoja (Rift Valley) is the first implementation priority. Regional Coordinator posts are advertised as vacant in the shared directory. A prior nomination is not a verified appointment.

Salary in KES, benefits, contract duration and exact duty station will be communicated during selection and stated in the written offer before acceptance. Appointments depend on approved budgets, readiness and applicable operating approvals. Applications and shortlisting do not guarantee employment.

Staff do not self-register through public Registration. Successful candidates will receive staff access through authorised HR onboarding.

Authenticity, integrity and verification

All qualifications, employment history, experience, professional credentials and references must be genuine, accurate and verifiable. Norisha Foundation will verify relevant records with issuing institutions, professional bodies and referees during recruitment.

Forged or altered certificates, fabricated references and deliberate misrepresentation are prohibited and may lead to disqualification or withdrawal of an offer following appropriate verification. Forgery and knowingly and fraudulently presenting a false document as genuine are criminal offences under the Kenyan Penal Code, sections 345, 349 and 353. Suspected offences may be referred to the relevant authorities.

No application, processing or appointment fees are charged. Do not send money to any person claiming to secure a Norisha job.

Funding and activation conditions

Submitting an enrolment or application records interest only. Progression, activation, placement and starting work depend on confirmed funding, approved staffing budgets, strategic priorities, resource planning and deployment readiness. Dates are planning targets, not guaranteed employment. No one should report for work without a written appointment and reporting instructions.

  1. 1. Receive and review

Enrolment gives you an immediate reference. Send your complete application using the published instructions. Review takes place throughout the application window.

  2. 2. Clear, respectful feedback

If information is missing, we explain what to correct. If your application does not meet the advertised requirements, we send a regret explaining the specific reasons and appropriate guidance. You may ask us to correct a factual error.

  3. 3. Final selection after closing

Suitable applications remain under consideration in a confidential candidate pool. No early “passed” or appointment message is issued. Final comparison follows the closing date.

After closing, the selection team aims to identify up to ten suitable candidates for each departmental role family and duty station, subject to enough qualified applicants. Lead and Assistant appointments must each meet the relevant job requirements. Other shortlisted candidates may be invited to discuss additional work where suitable roles are defined; this is not a guarantee of employment.

Applications close 30 November 2026, 23:59 EAT. Planned start: 1 December 2026 for selected, verified appointees with written offers.

A receipt confirms submission only. Assessment, ranking and credentials are reviewed by authorised people. Internal scores and pool rankings are not published. Pending applications remain pending until reviewed. Quote your reference when contacting mark@norisha.org.

Programmes and county deployment

County teams will assess and prioritise Education & Mentorship; Health & Well-being; Protection & Family Support; Talent & Youth Development; Livelihoods & Opportunity; and Community & System Strengthening. Local baselines, partners, funded plans and relevant approvals determine the activities activated in each area.

National recruitment does not itself authorise immediate service delivery in every location. County deployment is phased, with safeguarding, accountable resources and readiness checked before activation.

Applicant privacy

Norisha Foundation uses application information to assess suitability, communicate with candidates and verify relevant qualifications and references, as steps towards a possible employment contract. Necessary details may be shared with authorised recruitment reviewers, issuing institutions and referees.

Unsuccessful files will be reviewed for deletion six months after this round closes unless a documented legal retention obligation applies. Longer talent-pool retention requires a separate invitation. Contact mark@norisha.org for access, correction or other applicable data rights. You may also raise a complaint with Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner. Do not submit applications in public social-media comments.
