Norisha Foundation · Regional opportunity

Regional income and participation

Bring communities, teams, makers and partners together through sport, creativity and enterprise. Raise funds for Norisha’s programmes while creating opportunities for people to earn, learn and develop their talents.

Proposed programmes across eight regions and all 47 counties. Dates and participation details will be announced when arrangements are confirmed. Registration, donations and purchases remain on hold.

Every county takes part

Each region brings together activities from all its counties. Community events, showcases and qualifying rounds lead to shared regional opportunities. Hosting and promotion rotate; one county does not represent the whole region.

Young people gain talent-development opportunities; makers and service providers gain customers and paid work; partners help fund interventions for children, families and other beneficiaries. Sponsored places help people participate where cost or access is a barrier.

Ways to participate

Sport and talent

Community heats, team tournaments, age-appropriate athletics and regional finals. Corporate participation and sponsorship help fund coaching, talent and beneficiary programmes.

Creative enterprise and marketplace

Crafts, performances, books, practical services and exhibitions connect participants with customers. Agreed stall fees, sales commissions and partnerships contribute to programme funding.

Corporate challenges

Employers enter teams, sponsor activities or support beneficiary participation. Qualified coaches, officials, creators and suppliers deliver the activities.

Charity rides and future events

A qualified riding partner can organise a staged motorcycle challenge. Polo and international invitation events can be developed with specialist partners. Braveland hosting remains a Phase Two opportunity.

County qualifiers can progress to regional and national events. International participation will be considered when sponsorship, selection and travel arrangements are secured.

Expenses to be covered

Each activity will provide for the resources it needs. Costs may be covered through sponsorship, contributions in kind, approved Norisha funding or a combination of these.

  • Venues, equipment and qualified organisers
  • Transport and agreed participant support
  • Medical support, accessibility, safeguarding and security arrangements
  • Officials, facilitators, prizes and talent support
  • Publicity, communications and event production
  • Required permissions, insurance, administration and contingency

Confirmed event information will explain what is included, any participation charge and sponsored places. Participants and suppliers will know their agreed payment or selling terms before taking part.

How activities support the programme

Funds available for programmes = income received − agreed delivery costs.

Income can include sponsorship, corporate participation, event proceeds and agreed marketplace income. Makers’ sales receipts and payments due to participants or suppliers are accounted for separately. Contributions in kind help cover expenses and are recorded separately from cash.

All revenue received by Norisha supports its charitable work and organisational sustainability, including the legitimate costs of delivery. Actual results will be reported after activities take place. Beneficiary support does not depend on buying or fundraising.
